TWO new videos have been released to commemorate the fact that Adare Manor is now the official host of the 2027 Ryder Cup.

In less than two years from now, Europe and America’s finest golfers will descend on Limerick for the tournament.

Europe’s golfing side will bid for a third title in a row, while Team USA will be seeking a first win since the Covid-19-delayed 2021 tournament.

One of the videos promises the tournament will bring a “tribal rivalry - heartbreak and euphoria in one”.

“Now it returns to a land built for stories. They say it's nothing like golf. Well - this is nothing like golf,” the video continues, showing clips from Ryder Cup celebrations from down the years.

In the other video, Adare Manor owner JP McManus says there is huge excitement that Adare will host the centenary tournament.

“The people of Limerick, the people of Adare, the people of Ireland, they've taken ownership of it, and that makes us very proud,” he said, against a video backdrop of him receiving the ceremonial putt in Bethpage Black, New York.

Guy Kinnings, the chief executive of the European Tour Group added: “We've been through amazing cities. So the chance to come in 2027 for the centenary tournament, to do it at Adare Manor in Limerick it's the perfect venue. We couldn't be happier.”

Mayor John Moran said: “It’s such a great thing for Limerick. It puts us on the European map.”

The 46th Ryder Cup will take place in Adare between September 17 and 19, 2027.
