LIMERICK'S six senior clubs resume action in the Energia All-Ireland League this weekend following a break in the season.

It has been a difficult opening six rounds of fixtures for local clubs, with Young Munster, who have won three of their opening half a dozen games, the only Limerick side to sit in the top half of their respective league table at this stage.

Two Limerick sides, Garryowen in Division 1A and UL-Bohemian in 2A, are still seeking their first win of the league season.

Shannon, in 1A, have won one fixture this AIL campaign, while Old Crescent in 2A and Bruff in 2C have won twice, with Young Munster's three wins seeing the Clifford Park side lie in fifth place in the table.

When the AIL action resumes on Saturday, in Division 1A, Young Munster will take to College Park to face Dublin University. In the same Division, ninth-placed Shannon will host UCD on Thomond Park's back pitch also this weekend. Finally, basement side Garryowen travel to the Aviva Stadium's back pitch to face Lansdowne.

Meanwhile, in Division 2A on Saturday, eighth-placed Old Crescent travel to Spafield to take on Cashel, while bottom-placed UL-Bohemian host Blackrock College at ULs North Campus.

In Division 2C, Bruff travel to Cork to take on Sunday's Well at Musgrave Park.

There were just two Limerick wins in the most recent round of fixtures in the All-Ireland League.
