Portlaoise RFC set to resume training

Portlaoise Rugby Club commence preparation for the coming season with training starting on Tuesday 10th July 2012 at the grounds at Togher, Portlaoise at 7.30pm. This season the club coach is stalwart Richie Bond assisted by Mark Delaney (Backs Coach) and Nick Magiure (Fitness Coach).

Coaching will be each Teusday and Friday evening at 7.30pm. All present Senior Players and U-18s, U-20s and U-21s and players interested in joining Portlaoise Rugby Club are requested to attend. Leinster VW Summer Camp

Portlaoise RFC are hosting the Leinster VW Rugby summer Camp at their Grounds at Togher the week commencing Monday, July 16 until Friday July 20. The camp is for boys and girls from the age 6 to 12 years old. The camp is run by qualified coaches, Leinster Players and Heineken Cup will be in attendance during the week. Each participant receives a Canterbury Kit Bag (included Rugby Ball, T-Shirt, Boot Bag and Bottle). Camp Cost is €89.00 per child. Portlaoise RFC Youths Section

Training and Coaching for the coming season will commence at the end of August. Further details will be announced later. Presently Portlaoise RFC is currently recruiting player and ex players who wish to get involved in coaching and management of their youths squads. With the increased number of games being played each week this is also a need for more referees. Portlaoise RFC U-20/U-21 Rugby

This season Portlaoise will be fielding a U-20/U-21 side in the Leinster League. Training commences on Tuesday July 10 at club grounds Togher Portlaoise. Players born 1992 .1993 and 1994 are invited to attend. If you have not played rugby before and wish to give it a go please come along.
