BRUFF RFC Senior Women's side started their first ever competitive campaign with a Munster Open Cup match against Mallow at home in Kilballyowen Park.
The Limerick side lost out narrowly to their visitors 5-6. Bruff had a try from Aimee Kelly, while Kathleen O'Brien kicked two penalties for Mallow.
The game produced a great display of rugby from both sides. Bruff RFC is delighted to have fielded a team, having only started training in the summer months.
