Limerick scrum-half Neil Cronin has signed a contract extension with Munster Rugby
MUNSTER Rugby has confirmed that Limerick scrum-half Neil Cronin has signed a contract extension with the province.
Garryowen clubman Cronin has penned a deal that will see him remain at Munster until the end of January 2024.
Thirty-year-old Cronin was in Munster's match-day squad for Saturday evening's dramatic United Rugby Championship semi-final win over Leinster at the Aviva Stadium.
Cronin has made 37 Munster appearances since making his debut for the province as a Garryowen player against Leinster on St Stephen’s Day in 2014.
He signed his first contract with Munster in 2018 after continuing to impress with Garryowen in the energia All-Ireland League.
Cronin suffered a long-term ACL injury in training in October 2020 having impressed as a replacement in the season opener away to Scarlets.
The talented half-back made 10 appearances over the 2021/22 season after returning from long-term injury.
