THE Pinergy Munster Schools Senior Cup reaches the quarter-final stage this week with two Limerick sides going head-to-head for a place in the semi-finals of the competition tomorrow, Wednesday, afternoon.
Holders Crescent College Comprehensive take on local rivals Árdscoil Rís at Thomond Park on Wednesday, February 8, at Thomond Park, 2.30pm, with a place in the semi-finals of the Senior Cup up for grabs.
Crescent College secured their place in the quarter-final thanks to a 36-29 victory over Bandon Grammar School in their previous outing.
Opponents Ardscoil Ris missed out on taking the direct route to the semi-finals when losing out to St Munchin's College 10-19 in their previous outing.
St Munchin's and CBC, of Cork, have already secured their place in the semi-finals of the Senior Cup.
The two teams will be joined by the winners of Crescent College's meeting with Ardscoil Ris as well as the victors from the quarter-final fixture featuring PBC, of Cork, and Rockwell College, of Tipperary. That quarter-final will take place at Musgrave Park also this Wednesday at 2pm.
