THE draw for the Bank of Ireland Munster Junior Cup, featuring a number of Limerick clubs, has been completed for this season.
Rounds 1 and 2 were seeded as has been the practice in the past few seasons and were based on clubs standings at the end of last season.
Clubs that play and lose in Round 1 will play in the Munster Junior Bowl (dates are January 29, February 26, and Final on March 26).
Clubs that play and lose in Round 2 will play in the Munster Junior Plate (dates are February 12, February 26, March 26, and final on April 9.
The competition gets underway on the January 8, with the second round scheduled for 29th January.
The third round is scheduled for Sunday, February 12 where all the remaining sides enter the competition.
Defending champions Young Munster begin their campaign with a short trip across Limerick city to St. Mary’s.
Beaten finalists Thomond will be away to the winners of the Round 2 meeting of Thurles or Cashel.
Other ties that catch the eye are the meeting of Kilfeacle at home to Cork Constitution, Bandon host Highfield, and Garryowen against Old Christians.
