An application for the new housing development is due to be made to council
DEVELOPERS have signalled their intention to apply for planning permission to build 139 new homes on land off the N69 in Mungret.

These will be made up of 60 three-bed units and 19 four-bed units.
Also in the blueprint is an apartment complex, which will range in height from two-storeys to three-storeys high.
There will be 60 apartments and duplex units within this.
These will consist of 10 one-bed homes, 45 two-bed homes and five three-bed units.
Bike and bin storage will be provided on the ground floor, the application states.
As part of the mammoth development, a two-storey creche is also proposed.
Communal open space areas will also be provided.
These will include formal play areas and soft landscape works for private gardens within the complex.
Should the plans get the green light, a boundary wall and railings will divide the development from the N69 road.
The proposals are designated as a large scale housing development.
These represent housing developments of 100 homes or more.
