PICTURES: Cyclists set off from Limerick to raise much-needed funds for local charities

The annual Limerick to Kilkee charity cycle made its return in support of Cliona’s Foundation and the Lourdes Invalid Fund.

On Saturday September 13, a total of 77 cyclists set off from the Clayton Hotel in Limerick, embarking on their journey to Kilkee.

Cyclists then headed to Foynes Flying Boat Museum stop for food and refreshments before going on the Tarbert, Ferry to Killimer.

With another stop in Keanes in Kilrush for the group to regather and cycle into Kilkee as a group with food provided by Keanes and onto Kilkee. 

Upon completion of the cycle, celebrations were had that evening in Murphy's bar in Kilkee. 

Event organisers said praised this years turnout as fantastic and said that the cyclists are "wonderful people going the distance for others."
