The young Limerickman gave some indication of his good form, when he played in the German Open, played at Korbach, in the lead up to the Men’s, Ladies and Youths World Championships. Conor finished tenth in the German Open, which drew entries from the World’s top players, including a number of former World Champions who were in Korbach to play in these World Championships. the Irish Open Draughts Championships at Moville, County Donegal.

Conor would like to thank all the players in the Draughts fraternity, who encouraged him, and provided him with quality practice in the lead up to these competitions. Conor would also like to thank Gearóid Flannery of HDS Partnership accountants and Kieran Curtin of Castletroy Coaches for their sponsorship contributions towards his trip to Germany for the World Youths Championship.
