More than 50 firefighters are involved in tackling a blaze at a hospital in Northern Ireland.
The fire at Whiteabbey Hospital in Newtownabbey was reported just after 11am on Sunday and six fire appliances and two aerial appliances were scrambled to the scene.
A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) spokesman advised local residents to keep windows and doors closed until the fire was put out.

He said: “Following an initial call at 1109 on Sunday September 28 2025, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service are in attendance at a fire at Whiteabbey Hospital, Newtownabbey.
“Six fire appliances, two aerial appliances and 51 firefighters are in attendance supported by a command support unit and other specialist vehicles.
“Members of the public are asked to please avoid the area help support firefighting operations.
“Local residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed,” he added.
