An investigation is under way after a woman in her 70s died in a house fire in Co Fermanagh.
The fire broke out at a chalet bungalow on the Killynure Crescent estate in Enniskillen on Thursday.
Police were notified of the fire at about 5.55pm, and attended the scene along with other emergency services.
Four fire appliances attended the scene, two from Enniskillen, one from Irvinestown and one from Lisnaskea, and left just before 10pm.
PSNI Detective Inspector Winters said: “Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire but, sadly, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Our investigation is now under way to determine the cause of the fire.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101, and quote reference number 1665 of 26/01/23.”
NIFRS said their “thoughts and sympathies” were with the loved ones of the woman who died.
“Firefighters extinguished the fire but tragically a woman died at the scene,” they said in a statement.
“Firefighters left the scene at 9.54pm and the cause is currently under investigation.”
