LIMERICK AIL teams play fourth round fixtures this Saturday with only Young Munster enjoying a home tie.

In Division 1A Young Munster will look to get back on track after a disappointing 25-5 loss to Cork Constitution in their previous outing. The result has seen Munsters' drop to fifth place in the table.

In appalling weather conditions at temple Hill, James Taylor kicked two early penalties for Cork Con and tries from Sean French and Adam Maher, both converted by Taylor gave Con’ a 20-0 interval lead against Young Munster.

A try by Matthew Bowen minutes into the second half extended the home side’s advantage before a try from Eoin McCormack in the dying embers of the game secured the Limerick side’s only response. They will now host Ballynahinch at Tom Clifford Park on Saturday at 2:30pm.

Also in the same division, Garryowen will travel to Templeville Road to take on St Mary's College on Saturday at the same time.
Garryowen, who have lost two of their first three AIL fixtures, are sitting in eighth spot in the league table after taking a losing bonus point from their 6-13 home defeat to City of Armagh two weeks ago.

Mark Butler's side had previously beaten Armagh 45-21 to win the Energia Bateman Cup in 2019. Two weeks ago they trailed their Ulster opponents 0-6 at half-time at a wet Dooradoyle.

A converted try for the Ulster side after the restart extended their lead to 13-0 before two penalties by Kelvin Langan secured a losing bonus point for the Light Blues.

In Division 1B, Shannon will look to move up the table this weekend after slipping to sixth place in the table, following a 18-23 defeat to Naas. Shannon trailed their visitors Naas 13-20 at half-time on the back pitch at Thomond Park.
Cian O’Halloran and Harry Long scored tries for the Parish side, while John O’Sullivan kicked two penalties and a conversion. They will now travel to Cork on Saturday to take on UCC in the Maradyke.

Elsewhere Old Crescent will make the trip to Galway on Saturday to take on Galway Corinthians RFC. They currently sit fifth in the Division 2A table after securing a nail-biting 13-12 victory over Banbridge at Takumi Park in their last outing.

A late penalty by Ronan McKenna saw Old Crescent claim a hard-earned 13-12 win against Banbridge at Takumi Park. Brandon Nash scored Old Crescent’s try and McKenna converted and kicked two penalties.
UL-Bohemian's have started the season well and currently sit in third place of the Division 2B table. They will now face Clogher Valley away this weekend.

The final Limerick side in action this weekend is Bruff in Division 2C. Bruff will travel to Antrim to take on Ballyclare. They picked up a losing bonus point in their 5-7 reverse at the hands of Belfast Harlequins at Kilballyowen Park and remain in eighth place in the table as a result.
