A female pedestrian in her 70s has been hospitalised following a serious road traffic collision.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which occurred on the N59 in Dangan, Co Galway yesterday afternoon (December 19) at approximately 4.50pm.
She was taken to University Hospital Galway where her condition is described as serious.
No other injuries have been reported.
A technical examination of the scene has been completed by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened.
Any road users who were in the vicinity of the N59 at Dangan, Co. Galway between 4.30pm and 5pm yesterday 19th December 2022, and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make this available to Gardaí.
