Gardaí arrest man in his 20s in relation to fatal hit and run collision

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s in relation to a fatal hit and run road collision. 

The man has been conveyed to Thurles Garda Station where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. 

It comes following the discovery of a man (60s) on the side of the R433 road near Clonmore village in Co Tipperary in the early hours of Monday morning (November 21, 2022). 

He was later pronounced deceased at the scene. 

Gardaí are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the area on Monday morning, 21th November, 2022 between 1am and 1.20am and who may have camera footage (including dash cam) is asked to make it available to Gardaí.
