Two women and three teenagers injured in house fire in Finglas

Two women and three teenagers have been injured in a house fire in Finglas, County Dublin.

Gardai are appealing for information in relation to the fire, which broke in the Creston Avenue area at around 12.45am on Wednesday.

Emergency services responded to and extinguished the fire in the early hours of New Year’s Eve.

The five occupants of the house were a woman in her 40s, a woman in her 20s and three teenagers, two girls and one boy, who were brought by ambulance to James Connolly Memorial and Temple Street Children’s hospitals.

The injuries to the female in her 40s and teenage boy are described as serious, while the injuries to the three others are non-life threatening.

Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or noticed anything suspicious in the Creston area between midnight and 1.00am on Wednesday to contact them.
