RTE Weather and Continuity presenter, Helen Curran, has announced her departure from RTE after 28 years.
You may recognize her voice from presenting the weather on RTE or as a continuity presenter on RTE Television but now after nearly three decades Helen has officially announced her departure just days before Christmas.
Helen started at the station back in 1997, while still in UCD and soon became a household name and voice.
This week, Helen recorded her last continuity link took to social media to share her announcement with the video and said: "That's it! That's me done....no more voice overs on RTE Television as a continuity announcer".

Also earlier this month, Helen did her final weather report for RTE Weather and afterwards Sinéad, the presenter of the Today Show, spoke to her about hanging up the mic.
Helen told Sinéad, 'I have been here for 28 years, and I have been presenting the weather for 23!'
"That's incredible. Well, all we can do is wish you the absolute best on the next chapter, and thanks so much for guiding us and keeping us safe and keeping us aware for 23 years," Sinead said to her.
