CCPC updates list of circulating pumps subject to product safety warning
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued an update to its product safety warning relating to a number of circulating pumps in use in Ireland and removed a number of models previously listed.
In a notice on October 24, the CCPC issued a product safety warning for certain circulating pumps which may pose a risk of electrocution to tradespeople.
This warning followed a recent CCPC product safety information notice regarding a number of Tucson circulating pumps.
The CCPC statement read: “The CCPC has received reports of other circulating pumps that may have the same or similar electrical coupling as the one on affected Tucson pumps above, and therefore, may present the same risk of electrocution.
“In line with the precautionary principle and to avoid potential harm, the CCPC is carrying out this early intervention by making all traders and tradespeople aware of this potential risk.”

Consumers are advised to do nothing at this stage, while investigations are ongoing to establish if the products meet product safety requirements.”
In an update on their website dated November 6, 2025, the CCPC confirmed that the above list has been amended from that originally published on October 24 and a number of models have been removed.
The CCPC said: “With the full and swift cooperation of the relevant economic operators, the CCPC has concluded that the Archergas Model 15-60/130, the Lowara Models Ecocirc and Ecocirc+ and the current version of the BritTherm P2 25/5 circulating pumps are not affected by the Product Safety Warning and have been removed from the list of potentially affected circulating pumps.”
