Shocking! Driver caught doing 170km/h while high on cocaine on busy motorway

The driver also tested positive for cannabis, a court date will follow

A court appearance is to follow.

A motorist has been arrested after being detected travelling at 170km/h on the M8 outside Cahir, county Tipperary.

A Tipperary Roads Policing Unit motorcyclist, who was monitoring traffic on the motorway, stopped the vehicle and conducted a roadside drug test on Sunday afternoon.

The driver failed a roadside drug test for cocaine and cannabis.

They were arrested on suspicion of drug driving and dangerous driving.

A court appearance is to follow.
