Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a road crash in Co Roscommon.
The single vehicle crash happened on the R370 at Lurgan in Frenchpark at approximately 6am on Friday.
The driver, a man aged in his 40s, was taken to Sligo University Hospital with serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The road is currently closed for a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
Anyone who was in the R370 Lurgan area between 5.50am and 6.10am and who may have witnessed the incident should contact investigating gardai.
Any road users who were travelling in this vicinity at the time, and who may have camera footage including dash cam, are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardai.
