Thankfully, the adorable Border Collie was okay despite the dramatic morning
After receiving an early-morning phone call from a concerned member of the public regarding a dog in trouble, one heroic Garda jumped into action.
Taking place at approximately 5:30am on Friday, June 20, a report was made to Carrigaline Garda Station in Cork, stating that an animal was stranded at Monkstown Pier.
Garda Ruairc Courtney responded to this as soon as possible.

Upon arriving to the area, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in Cork confirmed: "The dog was quite soaked, stuck in seaweed and in distress."
As soon as he spotted the scared animal, Garda Courtney hopped into the water to retrieve the dog, bringing him to safety before the tide evidently came back in.
Thankfully, the adorable Border Collie was okay despite the dramatic morning.
Gardaí in Cork took to social media aiming to locate the hound's owners. After the plea, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána in the county happily reported the following: "The dog has now been safely reunited with his owners who are ensuring he is properly cared for after being separated from them."
