BREAKING: Man arrested for shooting firearm at a home in Leitrim
Gardaí have confirmed that a man was arrested on Friday after discharging a firearm at a residence in Killargue, County Leitrim.
Leitrim gardaí and the Armed Support Unit responded to an emergency call at the residence shortly after 3.20pm on Friday afternoon.
It has been confirmed that a Taser was deployed at the scene and the man was then arrested and the firearm seized.

The scene of the incident is currently being preserved for technical examination. The seized firearm is also subject to forensic and ballistic examination.
Gardaí said that the man aged in his 30s is currently detained under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act, 1939/98 at a garda station in the area.
There is no further information at this time as investigations into the incident are ongoing.
