A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the assault of a woman on a bus in Dublin last year following an appeal on Monday night's Crimecall on RTÉ One.
In the first Crimecall episode of 2025, gardaí made an appeal to the public for help identifying a man involved in the assault.
The unprovoked attack took place on board a commuter bus service in Rathfarnham, Dublin on the morning of May 29, 2024.
"Gardaí in Rathfarnham investigating an assault of a female that occurred on a commuter bus service in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14 on the morning of Wednesday 29th May, 2024 have arrested a man," a statement issued this even began.
"The man aged in his 30s was arrested this afternoon and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Dublin.
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public for their assistance following the recent appeal regarding this incident broadcast on last night's Crimecall episode."
