A young man seriously injured in a car crash in Galway last Friday has since passed away Gardaí have confirmed.
Gardaí continue to investigate the "serious" road traffic collision, which occurred in Ballintava, Dunmore, Co. Galway last Friday.
The single vehicle crash occurred at 2:30am on Friday morning.
The driver and passenger in the car, both men in their 20s, were rushed to the nearby University Hospital Galway, where the driver of the vehicle has tragically since passed away.
Investigations are ongoing and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Additionally, they are requesting those with camera footage, including motorists with dashcam, who were travelling in the area of Ballintava, Dunmore, Co. Galway on Friday 18th October between 1.30am and 2.30am, to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
