Kyle McDermott, the young man who died in hospital following an incident in County Tyrone, will be laid to rest in his beloved Burt on Sunday.
The 24-year-old died at Altnagelvin Hospital in the early hours of Monday.
A native of Burt, he was living in the Ballymagorry area of Tyrone with his girlfriend, Chloe McGonagle.
Mr McDermott was a son of Stephen and Claire McDermott and worked in the construction industry as a digger driver, regularly sharing clips of his work in TikTok.
His funeral Mass takes place on Sunday at 2pm in St Aengus’ Church, Burt with interment afterwards in Burt cemetery.
The border village of Burt has been left reeling by the death.
Mr McDermott is survived by his parents Stephen and Claire, his partner Chloe, siblings Stephanie, Arden and Sheehan and a large circle of friends and family.
The Burt GAA club said Mr McDermott’s death came as “utterly devastating news” and his young life had been ended “far too soon”.

"The thoughts of everyone is with the wider McDermott family as they try to come to terms with what has happened,” Buncrana-based Councillor Jack Murray said.
“Kyle Mc Dermott, Forever 24,” wrote Strabane-based Independent Councillor Jason Barr in a tribute to his cousin.
“A smile that will never be seen again. Kyle didn’t deserve this.”
On Wednesday, a 24-year-old man, Daniel Patrick Hanna, appeared before Dungannon Magistrates’ Court, charged with the manslaughter of Mr McDermott.
Hanna, of Victoria Road in Strabane, was remanded in custody.
Detectives have also made a direct appeal in relation to the investigation in recent days.
PSNI Detective Inspector Hazel Miller said: “I am making a specific and direct appeal to the occupants of a blue-coloured car.
“This car was parked on the Victoria Road, near the scene of the altercation, and we believe that an occupant captured mobile footage of the incident.”
Detective Inspector Miller appealed to the driver and the passengers of the car to contact the PSNI on 101.
