ALERT: Recall of children bath toys from popular shop with many locations in Ireland

Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has issued a product recall for a range of children's bath toys stocked in a popular shop with a number of locations across Ireland.

The recall notice was issued by the CCPC on the 2nd of October 2024.

The product that has been recalled is 'My First Bath Animas' Bath Toys'.

The risk presented by this product is choking. The items contain a small part, which rattles inside the product when shaken. When filled with water and squeezed the small part comes out of the toy posing a choking hazard to small children.

From the CCPC:

The brand is Padgett Bros (A to Z) Ltd. The model numbers are 61036 and 61037. The product code shown on the price sticker and the receipt will be either 672690, 672691, 681218, 681248. The barcodes are 5012866610366 and 5012866610373. The batch numbers are unknown.

There are approximately 133 affected products in the Republic of Ireland. The product was on sale in TK Maxx and Homesense stores between July 2024 and September 2024.
