A van driver's luck finally ran out when gardaí swooped to seize the vehicle which had not been taxed for over 5,000 days.
Gardaí in Sundrive were on patrol when they spotted the Ford Transit van and discovered that its tax was expired for almost 14 years.
The van was seized and the driver was issued with a fixed charge penalty notice.
