Gardaí stand down search for 17-year-old girl missing since Tuesday

A 17-year-old teenager who had been the subject of a missing person appeal has been located "safe and well", gardaí have confirmed.

Alisha Griffin - described as being approximately 5 foot 3 inches in height with brown hair and blue eyes - was reported missing from the Ballyphehane area in Cork city since Tuesday evening, August 20.

"Gardaí would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance," a garda spokesperson said.
