Heading to Dublin this weekend? You're not alone. An estimated 600,000 people are expected to flock to the capital city for Saturday and Sunday, in what may be one of Dublin's busiest two-day periods ever for footfall.

Here's all you need to know ahead of the busy weekend:

What is on in Dublin this weekend?

Arguably the biggest event of the weekend will be Taylor Swift, who has touched base in Ireland and will be entertaining over 150,000 fans over the next three days in the Aviva Stadium.

As well as Swifties descending on Dublin, all four All-Ireland quarter finals will be gracing the pitch at Croke Park on Saturday and Sunday, and all four matches are expected to draw in large crowds.

Longitude festival is set to take place in Marlay Park, with global stars Doja Cat, 21 Savage and Becky Hill all in the busy lineup.

Pride celebrations will also take place on Saturday in Dublin city centre, and if a weekend of Taylor Swift, All-Ireland matches, Longitude and pride aren't enough, there is a range of concerts and festivals taking place across the busy city.

Loyle Carner, Shania Twain, the Saw Doctors and even Jedward will be playing across various venues in Dublin, and the weekend is not one to be missed by live music fans.

What will the weather be like?

Saturday will see a damp, locally wet start with overnight rain and drizzle gradually clearing away southeastwards. Sunny spells will develop across the northern half of the country. Highs of 15 to 19 degrees in mostly moderate northwest breezes.

Sunday will usher the arrival of showery rain into Atlantic counties during the afternoon. Driest and mildest across the Midlands, South and East with sunny spells. Highest temperatures of 13 to 20 degrees, all in light to moderate westerly breeze. For more go to met.ie.

Will public transport be affected by the events?

Many trains and busses to and from Dublin have already sold out for the weekend, so those heading to Dublin from across the country are urged to book their travel as soon as possible.

Iarnród Éireann confirmed that extra commuter and DART services will run this weekend as Taylor Swift takes to the stage at the Aviva Stadium for the first of three sold-out concerts.

The Taxis for Ireland Coalition said the Taylor Swift, Longitude, Shania Twain and Fairview Park concerts, along with the Dublin Pride Parade and GAA Senior Football Championship quarter-finals will lead to long waits for transport for those needing a lift home. Busy evening periods may see no available taxis across the city, so travellers are once again urged to plan well in advance.

What time will the events start at?

All Ireland Quarter finals - Armagh will face Roscommon at 4pm on Saturday, followed by Dublin and Galway at 6.15pm. Donegal are set to face off against Louth on Sunday afternoon at 1.15pm, and Kerry and Derry will contend for the final semi-final spot at 3.30pm the same day.

Taylor Swift - Doors open at 5pm at the Aviva Stadium for Taylor Swift, with opening act Paramore expected to kick things off at about 6pm. Swift is expected to grace the stage about 7.30pm.

Longitude - Gates will open in Marlay Park just after 1:30pm, with live music kicking off shortly after. The two-day festival will run until 11pm both nights.

Pride - Events will be taking place across the city on Saturday for Pride, but the official parade will begin at O'Connell Street at 12pm.
