Over €3.7m Lotto jackpot won, marking the fourth Lotto jackpot win of 2024

One lucky Irish Lotto player scooped a massive €3,796,062 during the hottest weekend of the year.

The winner purchased their ticket for Saturday nights draw in North Dublin, with the shop yet to be announced. 

The €3.7m weekend jackpot win marked the fourth Lotto jackpot win of the year to date. 

Meanwhile, the Lotto Plus 1 top prize winner who scooped €1m in the Saturday, March 9 draw has officially claimed their prize in Lotto HQ. The winning ticket was purchased at the filling station store on the Main Street in Oola, Co. Limerick.   

The winner admitted they had no idea that they had a winning ticket for quite a while after the draw. 

“I was clearing out the car and found a few tickets all together so started scanning and then when I got to this one, the 'You’ve Won Big' message popped up on screen. At this point, I didn’t know there had even been a €1m win in that draw. It was a huge shock to hear the words You’ve won €1 million!”. 

The Lotto Plus 1 top prize winner said that they will be checking their tickets more often.

“I think I’ve learned my lesson for leaving tickets sitting there for weeks and weeks after a draw. I will definitely be checking them quicker in future. I’ll have to have a think about what to do but I intend on helping family out.”
