As part of ongoing investigations targeting a Munster-based organised criminal group, gardaí attached to Clonmel Garda Station conducted search operations at locations in counties Tipperary and Clare on the 27th of March and the 30th of April 2024.
During the searches, two cars each valued at €60,000 were seized, along with a sum of cash €2,950.
Additionally, five separate bank accounts with deposits totalling €17,000 were frozen under money laundering legislation.
While no arrests were planned in this phase, the operation marks a significant development in this ongoing investigation.
