A man has died following a single vehicle motorcycle crash in Wicklow, the second person to die on Irish roads in the past 24 hours.
Gardaí confirmed that they attended the scene of a fatal single vehicle road traffic crash involving a motorcycle that occurred at approximately 6.30pm on Saturday, April 6th at Tombreane in Carnew, County Wicklow.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital with serious injuries. He was later pronounced deceased.
A technical examination of the scene was conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators and the road has since reopened.
Gardaí are now appealing for any witnesses to this crash to come forward.
They urge any road users who may have camera footage - including dash-cam - and were travelling in the Tombreane area between 6.15pm and 6.45pm to make this footage available to Gardaí.
