Ireland has overwhelmingly voted against the proposed amendment to the Constitution in the Family referendum.
The majority of voters across the country voted against the proposed amendment regarding the Family bill.
A total of 67.69% voted against the proposed amendment while 32.31% of voters were in favour of the change.
The national result, which was announced at Dublin Castle just after 7pm, showed 487,564 (32.31%) people voted Yes while 1,021,546 (67.69%) voted No.
Here is a breakdown of the votes for each of the 39 constituencies.
Carlow-Kilkenny
No: 70.70%
Yes: 29.30%
Turnout: 42.69%
