Several drivers learned the rules of the road "the hard way" today (January 25) after Gardaí caught cars illegally parked in Co Westmeath.
According to An Garda Síochána, a number of cars were detected committing traffic offences in Mullingar earlier today, with a spokesperson publishing a statement on X (formerly Twitter) to remind drivers of the rules.
The statement reads: "Ah lads. The school run is hard enough as it is without you pulling in on footpaths, double yellow lines or too close to the pedestrian crossing.
"These are traffic offences and we don’t tolerate them. Gardaí were out in Mullingar to remind people the hard way."
Ah lads.
