Iarnród Éireann has announced the suspension of rail services between Mallow and Charleville following a report that a vehicle struck a bridge in the area, causing disruptions for commuters.

At 6am this Friday, the Heuston to Cork service was held in Charleville as a result of the incident. The collision has led to the suspension of all services between Mallow and Charleville until further notice.

An update from Iarnród Éireann reveals that efforts are underway to address the situation. Crews are currently on-site, working diligently to safely move the vehicle that became lodged under the bridge.

The process is expected to take some time, and passengers are advised to check for further updates on the resumption of services.
