RIP: Garda search for missing man (41) stood down after body found in tragic update
Gardai have called off a search for a man missing from his home in Meath after the tragic discovery of a body.
A Garda statement read: "Following the discovery of a body of man in Navan, Co. Meath today, the missing person appeal in respect of 41-year-old Sean Farrelly has been stood down.
 
"No further media action is required and no further information is available at this time.
 
"An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance."
Sean had first been reported missing on December 23, 2023, but was the subject of a renewed missing persons appeal in recent days.
