An Post are set to raise the price of national stamps by 5c in February.
From February 1, 2024, the cost of a stamp for domestic letters will rise to €1.40.
An Post have given the rising cost of transport, fuel and energy as the reason for the latest price increase, after the price of domestic stamps was increased from €1.25 to €1.35 in February 2023.
There will be no increase in the cost of international stamp, currently priced at €2.20, or the national digital stamp, costing €2.00.
"These increases are necessary to cover rising costs and ensure service continuity and innovation on par with the best in Europe," said Garrett Bridgeman, Managing Director of An Post Commerce.
All stamps purchased before this price hike will remain valid after February 1, An Post have confirmed.
