Movie made by Irish company wins two Golden Globes

A MOVIE made by an Irish company has won two Golden Globes.

Poor Things, the movie produced by Dublin company, Element Pictures, has won two Golden Globes.

Emma Stone won her second Golden Globes for her performance in the comedy-drama.

Poor Things also won Best Motion Picture in a Musical or Comedy.

Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos and written by Tony McNamara, Poor Things is a science fantasy black comedy film based on the 1922 novel by Alasdair Gray.

It tells the story of Bella Baxter, a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist, Dr Godwin Baxter.
