Adorable garda recruit hits the beat in 'mini uniform' hand-sewn by his mammy

Adorable garda recruit hits the beat in 'mini uniform' hand-sewn by his mammy

Christmas came early for a little Louth boy when he became the county's newest recruit to An Garda Siochana.

The streets of Drogheda are a much happier place thanks to young Kayden's patrols, and his adorable "mini uniform".

While most 20-somethings still struggle to set on a career, little Kayden has already made the decision to join the gardaí when he's old enough.

So much so that his obliging and talented mammy hand-sewed a very accurate uniform so he would look the part on his patrols.

To top it all off, Kayden had backup for his night on the beat in Drogheda with the more experienced Garda John Spain keeping a watchful eye.

Accompanying the adorable snaps of Kayden on their post on X, formerly Twitter, gardaí said: "Kayden already knows what he wants to be when he grows up so his Mam hand-sowed (sic) him this fantastic mini uniform.

"Garda John Spain joined him on the beat in Drogheda."

Drogheda residents will have to be on their best behaviour with Kayden on patrol!
