Student unions were protesting the rise of the price of on campus accommodation
STUDENTS have blocked tourists from accessing the Book of Kells, as part of a protest against an increase in rent on the Trinity College campus.
Trinity College student unions held a protest in front of the door leading to the Trinity Library following a 2% increase in accommodation prices on their campus.
Earlier today, Trinity College Dublin confirmed the Old Library of Trinity College Dublin and the Book of Kells were not accessible to the public because of the protest.
“We will provide further updates as needed. All customers with precooked tickets will be refunded in full. We apologise for the disruption.”
