Limerick District Court
A 29-YEAR-OLD man stole hundreds of euros from his work in the space of two months, Limerick District court heard.
Dominic McElroy, with a home address at Daar, Riverview, Newcastle West, Limerick, stole over €600 in total from his workplace - Trade Electric - on five separate occasions, ranging between December 2023 and January 2024.
Prosecuting Sergeant Aisling O’Neill, giving facts for the state, said the man is being charged with five counts of theft contrary to section four of the Theft Act.

Solicitor Tom Kiely, defending the man, said that Mr McElroy is currently in full-time employment.
The man has since paid compensation for the thefts. Judge Patricia Harney heard that Mr McElroy has no previous convictions.
The judge ordered a pre-sanction probation report to be prepared for the man, and adjourned the case until March 24, 2025.
