GARDAÍ have arrested a man in his 20s after conducting an operation into the sale and supply of drugs in Limerick city.
The incident took place on Monday morning, August 21, when the suspect was observed traveling on an e-scooter in the Pennywell area by plainclothes gardaí. The suspect then attempted to evade gardaí on foot.
Upon arrest, the man was found to have approximately €630 worth of suspected crack cocaine, which is currently being tested for confirmation. He also had a small number of prescription tablets.
Both the drugs and the e-scooter were confiscated by gardaí as part of the investigation.
The arrested male was detained at a garda station in Limerick city. He has since been released without charge pending submission of a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Investigations are ongoing.
