Met Éireann has released a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for multiple counties.
According to the meteorological service, the warning covers counties Kildare, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, Galway, and Roscommon up until 12pm noon today (Sunday July 9).
Possible impacts include spot flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
Another Status Yellow warning (for thunderstorms and rainfall) is also in place for Cavan, Monaghan, Clare and all of Connacht.
Scattered thunderstorms and spot flooding are expected, with a chance of hail.
The warning is in place from 1pm today until 8pm tonight.
