AUSTRALIAN musician Steph Strings played her very first headline show in Ireland on Wednesday, and described her stay in Limerick as "really fricken special".

In an Instagram post shared to her 756,000 followers, Steph posted a range of photos from her stint in Limerick, featuring Dolans, the Hunt Museum, Chicken Hut, Charlie Malone's pub, and many nature walks.

In the caption of the post, she said: "Limerick, you have been really fricken special," with an Irish flag and red heart emoji.

She went on to describe her busy itinerary for her stay, saying: "we went on the biggest @blindboyboatclub expedition, I played my first ever headline Irish show and met some absolute, gorgeous, hilarious humans".

She gave a shout-out to Chicken Hut, saying " @chickenhut1 you rule" with a chicken leg emoji.

The caption finished with an all-caps "THANK YOU LIMERICK" with an otter emoji, a reference to Limerick otter Yurty Ahern, made famous by Blindboy.

Blindboy commented "This is deranged. I love it" with a green heart emoji on the post.

Steph previously credited her "obsession" with Blindboy Boatclub and his podcast as her main reasons for wanting to visit Limerick while touring.

Steph Strings played the Dolans gig on Wednesday, October 30 as part of her Irish tour marking the release of her EP, Cradle Mountain.
