THE Munster Rugby squad has resumed preparations at their High Performance Centre at UL this Monday ahead of Saturday’s URC Round 11 clash against Scarlets at Thomond Park, 5.15pm kick-off.

On the international front, Tom Ahern returns to the HPC from Ireland camp this week as there are no Six Nations fixtures next weekend.

There is good news on the injury front for Seán O’Brien, Josh Wycherley and Cian Hurley as they all return to team training this week.

O’Brien has been out of action since November due to a leg injury with Wycherley returning after sustaining a neck injury in November.

Cian Hurley has been unavailable since pre-season due to a knee injury.

Four Munster players helped Ireland to a big win over Scotland at Murrayfield on Sunday with Calvin Nash among the tries as Tadhg Beirne and Peter O’Mahony also started with Jack Crowley featuring as a replacement.

There were five Munster players in action for the Ireland U20s as they won in Edinburgh on Saturday. Academy centre Gene O’Leary Kareem and Academy flanker Michael Foy both started, with Shannon RFC flanker Oisin Minogue, Academy out-half Dylan Hicks and Cork Constitution centre Eoghan Smyth all featuring off the bench.

Hicks made his Ireland U20s debut with Minogue scoring a try immediately after coming on.

On the Energia AIL front, there were 12 Munster players in action for their clubs at the weekend.

Continuing to Rehab: Mike Haley (ankle), Dave Kilcoyne (thigh), Alex Nankivell (hamstring), Thaakir Abrahams (shoulder), Craig Casey (knee), Jean Kleyn (thigh), Liam Coombes (chest), Jeremy Loughman (hip) Patrick Campbell (shoulder), Edwin Edogbo (Achilles), Roman Salanoa (knee).
