MUNSTER Rugby's George Hadden has been called up to the Emerging Ireland squad ahead of the next game against Western Force on Sunday afternoon, as cover for fellow Munster teammate Mark Donnelly, who suffered an ankle injury in the opening game.
Hadden joined Munster Academy back in 2023 after helping the Irish U20s to a Grand Slam victory that year. From Gorey RFC in Wexford, Hadden started all five games at loosehead prop for the Ireland U20s in 2023 as they won the Grand Slam.
He is now playing his club rugby with Garryowen.
Following Wednesday’s opening victory against The Pumas in Bloemfontein, Leinster’s Rob Russell (hand) will play no further part in the tour.
The Emerging Ireland side will face Western Force this Sunday at 12pm Irish time before finishing off their tour on Wednesday October 9 against The Cheetahs.
