THERE was never too much traffic coming down Paudie Maher’s wing in the blue and gold of Tipperary and he hopes it stays the same in the blue of An Garda Siochana.

The Limerick city-based garda gave Tipperary and Galway supporters important advice ahead of the All-Ireland quarter-final clash in Limerick on Saturday evening. Throw-in at the TUS Gaelic Grounds is 6.15pm.

The three-time All-Ireland winning hurler was used to directing operations from half back but now he is doing it on An Garda Siochana’s social media accounts.

“Garda Maher has some key advice to help the day run smoothly — and while he may or may not be biased about the result, his safety tips are for everyone!” reads the post.

Garda Maher advises attendees to plan ahead, park smart, and walk from Limerick city centre.

A crowd of around 25,000 Galway and Tipperary fans are expected to descend on the city

For more information and a full list of road closures see An Garda Siochana’s social media pages.
