A EUROPEAN arrest warrant has been issued for a Limerick city woman who is accused of threatening to kill state witness April Collins more than two years ago.
Annabel Dundon, aged 23, who has an address at Hyde Road, Ballinacurra Weston is charged under the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act with making the threat against the mother-of-four at an address at Rosfearna, Murroe, County Limerick on April 9. 2011.
Ms Collins was living with convicted rapist, Thomas O’Neill in Murroe at the time of the alleged offence.
Gardai believe Ms Dundon, who is a sister of criminal figures Wayne, John and Ger Dundon, has fled to the UK since being charged and brought before the courts.
A bench warrant was issued for her arrest at Limerick Circuit Court in May of last year after she failed to appear before the court for her trial.
When asked why his client was not present, Shane O’Callaghan BL said Ms Dundon had not made any contact with him and that he did not have instructions in the matter.
It is understood the authorities here recently applied to the courts for a European Arrest Warrant in relation to Ms Dundon.
If the warrant is executed, Ms Dundon will be returned to this country to face the charges.
