Limerick artist shines bright in the ‘Music City’

Pallasgreen native Martyn Cosgrave will be releasing his latest single on October 29

LIMERICK SINGER-songwriter Martyn Cosgrave will represent his native Pallasgreen in the largest independent award show in the home of country music.

The Josie Awards will be held this October at the prestigious Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, where Martyn will be among those in the 2.5% that received nominations from the 59,019 submissions this year.

Martyn resurrected his career in April of 2021 with the release of his debut single, If You Could Read My Mind, which hit the No1 spot in the charts. An amazing achievement and his career is rising higher and higher with every release since.

Two of Martyn's original songs, The Old Man and Blended Family, have been nominated in two categories in the Josie Awards.
Martyn will bring a gift representing Limerick to the Mayor of Nashville.

His music is in his history and in his veins.

Having appeared on Irish talent show, You're A Star, and having a successful career in boy band Final Four, he went on to support the Irish representative on stage in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul.

After an extended break, he is back with force.

Since 2021, the artist has released a couple of singles, which reached No1 spots on the Irish iTunes Charts.

He has been writing and releasing his own original music with his production team based in Atlanta, Georgia.

He went from a sold out show in the renowned Dolan's Warehouse, to now hitting the road to Nashville.

At the Jodie Awards, he will be recognised for his original music.

The singer-songwriter will be releasing his new single, Jenny & Johnny, on October 29.

Martyn has also announced that he will be returning to Dolan's on December 1.

Accompanied by a full live band, he will be performing a special show.
