Limerick minors crowned Munster champions once again

THE Limerick minor hurlers retained their Munster title thanks to a 0-24 to 0-18 win over Waterford in Thurles this Tuesday evening.

THE Limerick minor hurlers retained their Munster title thanks to a 0-24 to 0-18 win over Waterford in Thurles this Tuesday evening.

Limerick trailed by 0-13 to 0-11 at the break but inspired by man of the match Tom Morrisey, they burst into life in the second half to run out six-point winners.

The win means they now go forward to an All Ireland semi-final on Sunday, August 17 against Antrim, Galway or Dublin.

Waterford, All Ireland champions last year, must now play Dublin in the All Ireland quarter-final on Sunday on Thurles at 12noon.
